Fiona's Singing

Fiona, a native of Morayshire, has lived in Dingwall, Ross-shire, for the past 13 years, where she worked until recently in the local primary school's Gaelic Medium Unit and Gaelic Nursery.  A a fluent Gaelic speaker she has just been awarded the Màiri Mhòr Song Fellowship from the Highland Council.


Fiona's singing career has developed over the last 6 years and she is now in demand all over the Highlands; from Oban in the south to Wick in the north and from Ullapool in the west to Aberdeen in the east.  Her Gaelic repertoire includes; classical and traditional songs, pibroch and puirt-a-beul, all of which are unaccompanied.  Fiona also runs a Gaelic singing class for Feis Rois and conducts the local junior Gaelic Choir with which she has had some notable successes.

Fiona has also toured with a young band of talented musicians from Argyll called Ceol Gaire.


Her talents are not restricted to singing alone as she also takes to the stage in acting roles.


Fiona can be booked either as a solo singer or she will arrange others singers to join her with instrumentalists.


Her first CD, "Astair" is now into its 4th printing.
